From 2001 until 2012, the so called “schönauerExpertentage” presented a highlight in the annual passive house conference scene, where experts and specialists from the DACH region would talk about topics like energy efficient construction, and thermal restoration. “Energy efficient construction and thermal restoration as contributions towards energy transition”
During the so far last „schönauerExpertentage“, CEO Josef Bruckner was able to welcome DI Theodor Zillner of BMVIT, DI Michaela Smertnig of Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster Lower Austria, Direktor Johann Pollak of Raiba Weitra and tried and true host DI Dr. Peter Holzer of Danube University Krems. In his opening statement, DI Theodor Zillner of BMVIT emphasized that countries within the DACH region enjoy a front row seat in the construction industry, saying how happy he is that experts from all three countries were among the invited speakers. Host Peter Holzer explained “The top-level quality of these speakers and the intimacy among participants is an incredible and unique opportunity – this only exists during the schönauerExpertentage”.
Topics included energy efficient construction, comfort ventilation, as well as innovative components and solutions in science. Keynote speakers included Arch. DI Johannes Kislinger, Obmann IG Passivhaus Österreich and Arch. Thomas Metzler, IG Passivhaus Schweiz. The soirée was thematically matching with the motto “climate:active award show 2012” and was a cooperation with the Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster Lower Austria and the energy and environment agency Lower Austria. During the course of these festivities, Sonnenplatz Großschönau was privileged to receive the klima:active award for constructing a research and competence center for construction and energy.
